Photographing People with Harvey Stein

Three day long workshop, days will consist of critique and shooting in the streets. Class Size: Maximum 15 students Where:Northeastern University and Boston streets and environs. Workshop fee: $350 members $450 nonmembers. Registration: Can be done by phone at 781-729-1158 or by email at frances@griffinmuseum,org or website http://www.griffinmuseum.org A non-refundable $150 deposits is required upon registration. This is an exciting opportunity for photographers. Space is limited. Following the workshop, student work will be exhibited at the Griffin Museum.

In an artist statement Concord resident, David Prifti once wrote that is was his desire to explore his life through the things that shaped his life. These formative elements were his relationships, his memories, his sense of family, rites of passage, aging and death. The creative process that led to all of his photographs was indirectly a very personal journey for him. Two years ago, David Prifti died at age fifty of pancreatic cancer.
